I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cosmo Kramer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cosmo Kramer!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kramer darts in trying to clinch

and Kolodin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kramer's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kolodin preventing the sweep.
Kramer is trying to keep Kolodin in close.
Kramer seems keen to control Kolodin's posture.
Kolodin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kolodin trying to control but Kramer is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kramer with a lazy takedown attempt

and Kolodin counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kramer looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kolodin puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kramer is refusing to be controlled, as Kolodin sits in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kolodin thows a huge punch but Kramer dodges it nicely.
Kolodin content to control rather than advance.

Kramer is defending against the submission attempts here by Kolodin.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kolodin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kramer defend it? Kolodin steps over the head and cranks it - Kramer is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kolodin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Alan Kolodin!
