Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gel Parsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mystic Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammer has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gel Parsley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mystic Hammer! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parsley shoots in and bounces Hammer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Parsley wants to control from the top but Hammer keeps moving. Parsley stands up from Hammer's guard - Parsley perhaps looking for a knockout. Parsley wants to clinch up but Hammer keeps it at a distance. Hammer lands with a straight right. Parsley didn't see that one coming. Hammer throws a head kick that misses. Parsley looks to score with a jab to the body but Hammer is just out of range. Hammer gets a clinch. Parsley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hammer avoids the head kick by Parsley.
Hammer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Parsley moves away. Parsley throws a nice looking combination but Hammer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hammer doesn't succeed with the takedown and Parsley counters with a shoot takedown. Hammer fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parsley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parsley stopping the sweep attempt from Hammer. Parsley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hammer is keeping the position for now. Parsley sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hammer is trying to control the position but Parsley postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammer looking for a sweep. Not yet Hammer, not yet. Parsley stands and throws Hammer's legs to the side, diving into side control. Parsley swings around for an armbar but Hammer sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Parsley's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Parsley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hammer is controlling him. Parsley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Parsley holds on and takes a little breather. Hammer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parsley works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hammer wants to control from the top but Parsley keeps moving. Hammer wants to stand and escape but instead Parsley has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Parsley gets to his feet. Hammer looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Parsley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Parsley feints and as Hammer raises his hands in defense, Parsley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Parsley sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parsley passes into half guard. Parsley wants to control but Hammer is keeping him busy. Hammer is trying to maintain the position but Parsley is very close to passing his half guard. Hammer is looking to improve his position.

Hammer is staying active underneath Parsley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hammer is looking to improve his position.
Parsley is trying to control the action in half guard but Hammer is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Parsley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hammer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Parsley trying to control the action but Hammer is working from the bottom. Hammer is trying to control Parsley's posture but Parsley avoids it. Hammer is looking for a sweep. Parsley stands up and we're back to a striking position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parsley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hammer wants to control but Parsley postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gel Parsley dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Parsley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hammer stalling in the clinch but Parsley improves position. Parsley wants to break the clinch but can't.
Parsley has had enough of the clinch but Hammer keeps him there for the moment. Hammer pulls guard effortlessly. Parsley pushing down on Hammer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Parsley working Hammer over with strikes. Parsley tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Hammer. Parsley is working for a kimura but Hammer is defending it quite comfortably.
Hammer moves into full guard.
Parsley trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hammer's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Parsley prevents Hammer from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parsley tries to free his leg and advance position but Hammer is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parsley misses with an uppercut
and Hammer counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hammer wants to stand up but Parsley has a hold of him and won't allow it. Parsley tries to get to full guard but Hammer has control of the leg. Parsley trying to get back to full guard but Hammer takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Parsley wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Hammer not allowing Parsley to control his hands. Parsley tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Hammer is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Parsley defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Hammer avoiding Parsley 's attempts to control his hands. Parsley turns into Hammer and is now in his guard.
Hammer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Parsley working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Parsley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parsley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Parsley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hammer is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parsley showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Parsley working some strikes from top position. Parsley postures up.
Hammer wants to improve his position but instead Parsley has moved into half guard.
Parsley stands up and beckons Hammer to join him on the feet. Parsley gets the takedown into side control. Parsley decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hammer to his feet. Hammer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Horrible takedown by Parsley or perhaps it was just good defense by Hammer which made him look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Hammer. Parsley is trying to improve his position. Parsley tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Hammer easily slips into full mount! Hammer throws some wild stikes that Parsley manages to avoid easily.
Parsley tries to lock up and control but Hammer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Parsley is desperately trying to improve his position but Hammer has a good base and remains in mount. Hammer has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Parsley is forced to tap!
