Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Mosin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and maurisyo ruwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mosin darts in trying to clinch

and ruwa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mosin's guard now.
ruwa is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mosin wants to stand and escape but ruwa is having none of it.
ruwa trying to control the position from guard on top but Mosin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
ruwa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mosin wants to get back to his feet but ruwa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

maurisyo ruwa has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Mosin shoots and misses

and ruwa counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mosin controls ruwa momentarily but ruwa frees himself.
Mosin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

ruwa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mosin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. ruwa is in Mosin's guard.
ruwa tries to free his leg and advance position but Mosin is retaining full guard.

ruwa stands up from Mosin's guard - ruwa perhaps looking for a knockout.

ruwa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mosin is looking to work his way out of this bad position but ruwa is controlling him well.
Mosin is breathing heavily.

ruwa is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mosin is trying to escape and ruwa transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mosin is forced to tap! Nice work there by ruwa! Very nice indeed!
