Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Takeo Chonan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Amongero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeo Chonan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roberto Amongero! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amongero with a nice cross. Oooh a lovely combination from Amongero sends Chonan down but not out. Amongero dives into side control looking to finish.
Chonan is rocked!
It looks like Takeo Chonan has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chonan trying his best to control but Amongero has mounted him. Oh Chonan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Chonan tries to reverse the position but Amongero maintains control. Chonan seems to have got his legs back now. Amongero trying to control but he's not successful this time. Amongero stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Roberto Amongero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chonan darts in and clinches Amongero up against the cage. Chonan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chonan manages to end up in side control. Amongero is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Amongero wants to get back to his feet but Chonan is dominant here and he's now got Amongero's back! Chonan controlling the position well here. Amongero rolled but Chonan kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Chonan cracks Amongero with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Amongero from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amongero controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Chonan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Chonan gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Amongero wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chonan is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Amongero. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Chonan has good solid back control here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chonan is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Amongero knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Amongero for a finish. Amongero is taking damage to the body and head. Chonan is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Amongero is trapped and Chonan is scoring with shots to the head and body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amongero is trying to stand back up. Amongero is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Chonan.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Amongero looks gassed! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Amongero holding both Chonan 's hands and preventing any damage. Amongero is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Chonan.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Amongero wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Roberto Amongero will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Takeo Chonan's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Amongero misses with a body punch
and Chonan moves into the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Chonan. Amongero wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Chonan is trying to drag Amongero to the mat but Amongero just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Chonan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Amongero uses from the top position. Chonan pushes Amongero off and scrambles back to his feet.
Amongero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chonan circles away quickly and effectively. Amongero connects with a nice looking jab.
Chonan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Chonan passes easily into side control. Nice work. Amongero is breathing heavily. Chonan lands some shots froms side control. Chonan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Amongero rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Chonan's guard! Nice work there by Amongero!
That's one minute gone in the round. Chonan has a closed guard, preventing Amongero from standing up. Chonan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chonan is taking a breather. Amongero says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Amongero wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chonan in particular looking to stall.
We're going to have a standup here because Takeo Chonan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. A punch combination from Amongero misses. Amongero moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Chonan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Amongero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chonan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Chonan sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chonan prevents Amongero from getting back to his feet. Chonan lands a couple of decent looking shots. Amongero wants to stand but Chonan is controlling the position. Chonan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Amongero being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chonan is standing up over Amongero. Amongero looks to escape but Chonan dives into side control.
Chonan advances to full mount. Chonan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Amongero is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A decent looking cross lands there for Amongero. Chonan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Chonan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Chonan looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Chonan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Chonan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Takeo Chonan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Amongero's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Amongero takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Chonan looking to finish Amongero with some ground and pound. This is bad for Amongero! Chonan looking to control and managing it successfully. Amongero in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Chonan with shots to the head and body - Amongero looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amongero tries to buck Chonan off but he can't manage it. Chonan looking to finish Amongero with some ground and pound. This is bad for Amongero! Chonan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Chonan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Amongero in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Chonan controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chonan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Amongero for as long as he can get away with. Chonan putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Chonan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Amongero squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Amongero is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chonan with the ground and pound from mount. Chonan content just to control the position here. The referee warns Amongero that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

And that's the end of the fight! Takeo Chonan showed his dominance in that final round. I think Chonan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
