Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Sandman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller's entrance music is On to the Next One. A fine choice. Sandman has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Sandman! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Sandman wants to pass the guard but Miller is keeping the position. Miller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sandman manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sandman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Sandman is not content to let Miller control the position. Miller postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Sandman lands with a nice body punch. Sandman throws a combination. Miller tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Sandman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miller throws out the jab. Miller doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Sandman on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Miller. Miller obviously looking to wear him down.

Miller has a takedown stuffed. Sandman stuffs the takedown attempt from Miller. Miller gets slowly back to his feet. Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sandman lands with a right hand. Miller on the wrong end of a nice jab. Sandman slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat. Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Sandman, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Sandman against the cage but Sandman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sandman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Miller. A shot to the liver by Sandman. Beautiful body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sandman connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Miller fails with the takedown and Sandman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Sandman lands a jab. Sandman thuds a left hand into Miller's body. Sandman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Sandman connects with an inside leg kick. Miller takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Left hook, right uppercut from Sandman. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Miller shoots in and drives through. Sandman sprawls well. Miller takes one to the chin there. Sandman stuns Miller with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sandman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Sandman is figuring out what he wants to do next. Sandman wants to take a breather but Miller is having none of it. Miller is trying to control but can't.

Sandman is thwarting Miller's attempts to control the position. Sandman working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Miller's thigh. Miller counters though and makes it back to full guard. Miller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sandman manages to get himself to full guard.

Shawn Sandman really dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sandman is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Miller has latched onto it... Big trouble! Miller pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Sandman is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Miller!
