Gonzales has chosen Eminem - Go to Sleep as his entrance music. Barb Dwyer has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Barb Dwyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rafael Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dwyer falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gonzales connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gonzales has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gonzales lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Gonzales breaks from the clinch.
Dwyer closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Gonzales doesn't manage to clinch there - Dwyer circles away.
Gonzales misses with the body kick
and Dwyer counters with a three punch combo that has Gonzales backing up. Gonzales nods at Dwyer to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dwyer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dwyer there as he acknowledges the shot.

Gonzales swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dwyer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gonzales wants to clinch up but Dwyer keeps it at a distance.

Dwyer misses with a series of wild punches.
Gonzales throws a sloppy head kick and Dwyer moves out of range easily.
Dwyer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gonzales.
Gonzales tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dwyer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Dwyer tries to sprawl but Gonzales drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Gonzales wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Gonzales looking to secure an arm triangle but Dwyer defends it well.

Gonzales stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Dwyer throws a series of punches but Gonzales avoids them all with ease.
Dwyer slips a jab and a cross from Gonzales.
Dwyer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gonzales circles away quickly and effectively.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Gonzales counters with a nice uppercut.

and Gonzales counters with a single leg into guard. Dwyer didn't expect that.
Gonzales wants to control from the top but Dwyer keeps moving.
Gonzales wants to stand but Dwyer is controlling his posture from full guard.

Dwyer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gonzales defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dwyer is working an open guard so Gonzales takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gonzales swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A close round but Rafael Gonzales will probably get the nod.

letting Gonzales counter with a right hand.
Barb Dwyer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sloppy strikes from Dwyer. Those never looked like landing.
Nice defenses there by Dwyer.
Gonzales shoots in for a double leg but Dwyer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Gonzales counters with a head kick. That will keep Dwyer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Gonzales decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dwyer's guard.

Dwyer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gonzales gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gonzales avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gonzales decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dwyer, up you get!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dwyer enables Gonzales to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dwyer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Dwyer is looking for a triangle but Gonzales pushes his legs off easily.

Gonzales stands and steps away. Dwyer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Dwyer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Gonzales throws a shot from downtown. Dwyer moves away and avoids it.
Gonzales fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Barb Dwyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Gonzales.

Dwyer throws a left and a right that both miss

so Gonzales counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dwyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gonzales got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dwyer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gonzales has managed to get both his arms back between Dwyer's legs - danger averted.
Gonzales wants to control from the top but Dwyer keeps moving.

Gonzales stands up and waves to Dwyer to follow him.
Dwyer throws a right hand that Gonzales ducks under and follows up with a left that Gonzales also avoids with ease.
Dwyer keeps the fight on the outside.
Gonzales throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

No joy there for Dwyer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gonzales shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dwyer as he jumps to the side.

and Dwyer counters with a series of strikes. Gonzales will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Dwyer counters with a three punch combo that has Gonzales backing up. Gonzales nods at Dwyer to acknowledge the strikes.

Gonzales closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dwyer quickly recovers to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dwyer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gonzales pulls his head out easily.
Gonzales wants to stand but Dwyer has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Dwyer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gonzales's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gonzales's back!

Dwyer working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Gonzales is doing well to defend. Dwyer seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Gonzales is forced to tap and this one is over!
