The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins shoots in but Maslov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Higgins tries to clinch up but Maslov circles away and keeps his distance.
Higgins is looking to clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maslov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Higgins to the mat! Higgins manages to get full guard.
Maslov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maslov wants to control from the top but Higgins keeps moving.
Maslov pushes down on Higgins's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Maslov passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Higgins!
Maslov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Maslov working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Higgins squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Maslov swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
