The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers throws a nice outside leg kick.
Abelsons misses the shot to the body.
Steve Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Abelsons clinches up against the cage.
Abelsons takes an elbow to the temple.

Abelsons breaks from the clinch.
Rogers throws a body kick, spinning off balance
letting Abelsons counter with a right hand.

Rogers scores with a takedown into Abelsons's guard.
Abelsons wants to get back to his feet but Rogers is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Abelsons looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rogers puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Abelsons is trying to get back to full guard.

Rogers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You get the feeling that Abelsons really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rogers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Rogers pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Abelsons is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
A nice elbow there by Rogers.
Abelsons takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Abelsons is breathing heavily.
A big strike lands for Rogers! That's really hurt Abelsons and he's turned his back - Rogers keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Rogers jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
