Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joey Schilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and anthony cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joey Schilt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, anthony cross! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Schilt.
cross takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Schilt stalks cross and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into cross's face. cross staggers backwards, shaken. cross fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schilt avoids it really well and circles away. cross shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Schilt napping and manages to drive through into side control! cross swings around for an armbar but Schilt sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into cross's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. cross is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. cross is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. cross keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Schilt's efforts to push away. Schilt creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Schilt can't break the clinch.
cross has hold of one of Schilt's legs. Schilt is fighting the takedown attempt but cross gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Schilt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Schilt looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schilt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst cross is controlling him. cross has gone for a leg lock! Schilt slips out almost immediately though and dives into cross's guard. Schilt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for cross on the ground. cross looking for a guillotine here but Schilt defends easily.
Schilt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. cross throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
cross looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schilt is one step ahead there. cross looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schilt trying to stand up but can't free himself from cross's guard. cross pulls Schilt in close to prevent any damage. Schilt with a flurry of punches that miss. cross looking to sweep here. No luck so far. cross is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Schilt defends well. cross looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schilt is one step ahead there. cross has control of Schilt's left arm, preventing Schilt from doing any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. cross throws a left and a right that both miss
and Schilt counters with a big head kick but cross shrugs it off. cross shoots for a double leg takedown but Schilt sprawls well. He's pushed cross's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Schilt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. cross doesn't seem bothered though. Schilt closes the distance and lands a one-two. Schilt bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of cross's head. cross has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from cross there as he acknowledges the shot. Danga de danga de dang - Schilt scores with a four punch combination! Schilt throws a head kick that cross semi-blocks.

Schilt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Schilt throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
cross shoots in but no luck this time. Joey Schilt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of anthony cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schilt scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Schilt feints a jab promting cross to slip. Schilt then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. cross slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Schilt scores with a kick to the body.
cross is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Schilt. Schilt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? cross is fending him off so far but Schilt persists. Schilt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Schilt tries to clinch up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Schilt fails to land the takedown. Schilt tries to clinch but cross moves out of range. Schilt with a body punch. A glancing blow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joey Schilt will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Schilt bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Schilt tries to clinch and cross counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Schilt! Schilt tries to reverse the position but cross maintains control. cross is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Schilt has managed to escape the submission attempt.
cross moves to take his opponent's back. cross scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Oooh a big shot gets through from cross. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

cross patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? cross throws a series of strikes and Schilt wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here. Schilt is looking to get to half guard. cross goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Schilt turns into him and now he's in cross's guard.
cross will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

cross has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. cross keeping moving, preventing Schilt from controlling successfully. cross manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Schilt manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. cross passes into half guard. Schilt on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. cross is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Schilt defends it well. cross is trying to control. Schilt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. cross might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Schilt kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. cross is thwarting Schilt's attempts to control the position. Schilt missing with punches from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. cross is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. cross winds up and cracks Schilt with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Schilt wants to control but cross is keeping busy.

And that's the end of the fight! anthony cross comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think cross has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
