Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kvintton Holkkimagnus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Davidson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Holkkimagnus does no damage. Holkkimagnus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Holkkimagnus throws a sloppy head kick and Davidson moves out of range easily. Holkkimagnus misses with a kick to the body.
Holkkimagnus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Holkkimagnus wants it to stay on the feet. Davidson shoots in and bounces Holkkimagnus off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Davidson advances to half guard. Davidson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. John Davidson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Holkkimagnus throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Davidson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Davidson gets to mount! Holkkimagnus was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Holkkimagnus is in all sorts of trouble here.
Davidson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
John Davidson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Davidson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Holkkimagnus as he avoids it easily. Davidson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Davidson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Davidson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Holkkimagnus misses with a wild combination.
Holkkimagnus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davidson circles away quickly and effectively. Davidson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Holkkimagnus.
Davidson gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davidson not doing much here.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

John Davidson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Oooh a lovely combination from Holkkimagnus sends Davidson down but not out. Holkkimagnus dives into side control looking to finish.
It looks like John Davidson has been cut. Davidson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Davidson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Davidson. Davidson is pulling down on Holkkimagnus's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holkkimagnus wants to stand but Davidson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Holkkimagnus has gone for a leg lock! Davidson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Holkkimagnus's guard. Davidson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kvintton Holkkimagnus wasn't doing enough on the ground. Davidson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Holkkimagnus lands with a right hand. Sloppy strikes from Holkkimagnus. Those never looked like landing. Davidson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Davidson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Davidson wasn't active enough on the ground. Nice body punch from Holkkimagnus. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Davidson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Holkkimagnus! Davidson prevents Holkkimagnus from getting the reversal. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Davidson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kvintton Holkkimagnus dominated that second round. The cut man is working on John Davidson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Holkkimagnus with a body punch. A glancing blow. Holkkimagnus looks to land a combination but Davidson avoids it well. Holkkimagnus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Davidson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Holkkimagnus! Davidson prevents Holkkimagnus from getting the reversal. Davidson controlling from the full mount. Holkkimagnus wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holkkimagnus is wriggling around trying to escape.
Davidson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Davidson. Davidson shoots in and drives through. Holkkimagnus sprawls well. Holkkimagnus throws a right and a left that Davidson avoids nicely. Davidson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Holkkimagnus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Davidson gets to mount! Holkkimagnus was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Davidson controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
And that's the end of the fight! John Davidson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Davidson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
