Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tank Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tank Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Carlos Oliveira has been cut.

Johnson feints and as Oliveira raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Oliveira working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
Oliveira looking for a sweep. Not yet Oliveira, not yet.
Johnson wants to get up but he can't break Oliveira's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oliveira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Oliveira's legs - danger averted.

Oliveira had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.

Oliveira is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Oliveira, up you get!
Johnson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Johnson thows a body shot but no joy.
Oliveira dodges the punch combination from Johnson.
Oliveira gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Oliveira moves out of range.

Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson tries to work over Oliveira's front leg with a kick but Oliveira checks it.
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Oliveira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Johnson throws out a leg kick but Oliveira moves out of range and Johnson only half commits.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
