Friendish comes into the arena with Jump around blaring out of the sound system. Tripper has chosen TEAR AWAY as his entrance music. 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Tripper! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Friendish. Those never looked like landing. Sloppy strikes from Friendish. Those never looked like landing. Frank Friendish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tripper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Friendish sprawls well initially but Tripper persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Friendish kicks off Tripper and gets to his feet. Friendish throws a lazy right hand but Tripper sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Friendish avoids the body shot from Tripper.
Tripper slips under a jab from Friendish. Tripper ducks under a wild hook from Friendish. Friendish moves into the clinch. Tripper throws a head punch that misses. Tripper doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Friendish has a couple of punches blocked by Tripper.
Friendish is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Tripper has a couple of punches blocked by Friendish.

That's one minute gone in the round. Friendish lands a lovely overhand right. Friendish throws a hook but Tripper avoids it easily. Friendish throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Frank Friendish is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tripper misses with a double jab.
Tripper circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tripper is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Friendish's half guard. Friendish is looking for a sweep. Tripper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tripper is thwarting Friendish's attempts to control the position. Friendish tries to kick Tripper off in order to stand up. Tripper Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Friendish is trying to buck Tripper off. Tripper tries to score with some ground and pound. Friendish controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Friendish looks to move to half guard but instead Tripper has passed into mount! Damn!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tripper with shots to the head and body - Friendish looks very uncomfortable down there. Tripper has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Friendish's face.
Tripper looking to secure an arm triangle but Friendish defends it well. Tripper lands with some strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tripper is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Friendish can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tripper looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Friendish covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
