Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Peppers enables Maniac to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Peppers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Maniac throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Maniac throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peppers works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Maniac sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Peppers connects with a leg kick. Maniac looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Peppers leaves Maniac with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Maniac shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peppers as he jumps to the side.
Julius Peppers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maniac throws a lazy body kick
and Peppers counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Maniac looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peppers is fending him off so far but Maniac persists. Nope, Peppers circles away and we're back to standing.
