The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa darts in trying to clinch
so Suave counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Suave is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Balboa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Suave is one step ahead there.
Suave tries to free his leg and advance position but Balboa is retaining full guard.

Balboa trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Balboa working for a triangle but Suave defends it easily.

Balboa is trying to hold Suave in close to prevent damage but Suave has managed to pass into half guard.
Balboa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Suave. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Suave frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Balboa in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Balboa is trying to escape the mount but Suave keeps good control and instead manages to take Balboa's back.
Balboa won't enjoy being in this position. Suave looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Balboa is tapping - it's over boys! Suave picks up the submission victory!
