Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christopher Wallase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Yeltsin!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallase is looking to clinch but Yeltsin is avoiding it.
Yeltsin throws a head kick but Wallase moves out of range.
Wallase will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Yeltsin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wallase connects with a knee to the head.


Yeltsin is rocked!


It looks like Boris Yeltsin has been cut.
Wallase tries to land knees in the clinch but Yeltsin avoids the damage to the body.
Yeltsin tries to pull guard but Wallase won't allow it.
Wallase lands an elbow inside.

Wallase has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Yeltsin uses from the top position.
Wallase bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yeltsin's guard.

Yeltsin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wallase is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Yeltsin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wallase's back instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Yeltsin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wallase is keeping the position for now.
Wallase lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Yeltsin!

Wallase wants to finish this one by submission but Yeltsin is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wallase.

That was a close round but I would say that Christopher Wallase will probably get the nod.

Yeltsin wants to control but Wallase is keeping busy.

Wallase turns into Yeltsin and is now in his guard.
Yeltsin controls Wallase momentarily but Wallase frees himself.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That has opened up Boris Yeltsin's cut even more.
Yeltsin has had enough of the clinch but Wallase keeps him there for the moment.
Wallase is trying to maintain a safe position but Yeltsin gets an underhook and turns Wallase into the cage.

Wallase is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Yeltsin rolls with it to try and escape but Wallase cranks on the arm and Yeltsin is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
