Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Bocek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Gailfus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Bocek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeff Gailfus! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bocek looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gailfus is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bocek jumps into side control! Bocek trying to control the position but Gailfus is working away. Gailfus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bocek wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gailfus struggling a bit here. Bocek working the body and head with strikes. Gailfus is looking to regain half guard here but Bocek keeps moving and retains side control. Bocek decides to stand back up. Bocek steps back and let's Gailfus get back to his feet. Gailfus misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gailfus swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bocek counters with a slapping leg kick. Bocek scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bocek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gailfus keeps working. Gailfus can't do much from the bottom here. Gailfus pushes Bocek away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bocek gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Bocek decides to stand back up. Bocek steps back and let's Gailfus get back to his feet. Gailfus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bocek counters with a single leg into guard. Gailfus didn't expect that. Bocek won't allow Gailfus to sweep him here. Bocek engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gailfus working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bocek. Gailfus throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bocek escapes and throws Gailfus's legs to the side, diving into side control! Gailfus takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bocek stands up. This has been an exciting period of action! Gailfus shoots and misses and Bocek counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gailfus's guard now. Gailfus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bocek pushing down on Gailfus's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gailfus trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Bocek manages to pass to mount!
Gailfus is trying desperately to improve position. Gailfus looks gassed! Bocek wants to finish this one by submission but Gailfus is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bocek. Gailfus is trying to reverse the position but instead Bocek has taken his back - oops!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bocek looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Gailfus taps!
