Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boris Yamokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichi Omori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamokov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Every Little Thing Is Gonna Be Alright. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Omori throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Yamokov on the side of the head. Yamokov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Omori throws a predictable looking body shot

Omori moves into the clinch. Omori breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yamokov shoots and misses so Omori counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Omori wants to pass the guard but Yamokov is keeping the position. Yamokov wants to sweep but no luck. Omori slips nicely into half guard. Yamokov is trying to stand up here but Omori is controlling him well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Omori throwing strikes here but Yamokov is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Omori goes for an armbar but Yamokov turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Yamokov. Omori looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yamokov is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamokov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Omori is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Yamokov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Omori swivels though and keeps the full guard. Yamokov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Omori had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yamokov defends it easily. Omori is looking for a triangle here but Yamokov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Omori displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yamokov throws out the jab. Omori swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Omori feints and as Yamokov raises his hands in defense, Omori changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Yamokov wants to stand up but Omori is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamokov keeping moving, preventing Omori from controlling successfully. Omori pushing down on Yamokov's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boris Yamokov will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Yamokov working over Omori with some ground and pound. Omori looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Omori is looking for a sweep. Yamokov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Omori is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Yamokov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamokov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Omori keeps working. Yamokov performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Yamokov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
