Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paris France! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mamoru Takamura! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takamura is on the wrong end of a nice combination from France. Takamura looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! France tries to clinch but Takamura moves out of range. France closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - France lands in his opponent's guard. France lands a couple of digs. Takamura keeping full guard, as France tries to pass. France sitting in guard, not really doing much. France scoring with some ground and pound. France knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takamura on the ground. France stands and throws Takamura's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. France landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. France decides to stand back up. France steps back and let's Takamura get back to his feet. France has closed the distance and engaged Takamura in a clinch.
France breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
France decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. France postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Takamura to stand up. France clinches. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from France. France lands a nice elbow. France scores with a knee to the head.
France will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Takamura up against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Takamura fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Paris France has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. France turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and France manages to end up in side control. France working the ground and pound from side control. France scores with a couple of short elbows. France lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Takamura manages to work his way to half guard, despite France's best efforts. France is trying to control. Takamura wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. France is pressing down on Takamura's thigh, looking to free his foot. Takamura is holding on for now. France lands with a punch from half guard. Takamura is trying to get back to full guard. France uses his free foot to push down on Takamura's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Takamura. Paris France overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. France avoids the attempt from Takamura to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

France postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Takamura looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. France seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Takamura for as long as he can get away with. France landing strikes, looking to finish! France looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
France blocks Takamura's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. France lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Takamura hang on? Takamura in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. France prevents Takamura from getting the reversal. France tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. France working Takamura over with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paris France dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
France rushes Takamura and presses him up against the cage. Takamura is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. A nice glancing elbow lands by France. France lands a knee to the head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as France takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Takamura is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. France is defending well for now. France turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and France manages to end up in side control. France is working Takamura over with some ground and pound from side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. France looks up at the clock and then as Takamura takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, France smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

France has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takamura throws a nice looking combination but France bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. France wants to clinch. France takes the fight into the clinch. France decides to pull guard. France is striking from the bottom but Takamura uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. France is trying to stand.
France kicks Takamura off and gets back to his feet. France doesn't manage to clinch there - Takamura circles away.

France gets the takedown into side control. France controls the position. France moves into full mount! France postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Takamura looks a forlorn figure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. France has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Takamura's face.

France punishing his opponent with strikes. France pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. France looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Paris France showed his dominance in that final round. Well France has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
