Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ohad Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey McChargue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Everett comes to the cage accompanied by Dont Monkey With Another Mans Monkey. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corey McChargue! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McChargue shoots in and bounces Everett off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Everett looking to control.
Everett throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Everett working for a triangle but McChargue defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Everett is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Everett is really struggling to control McChargue but he's trying to hold on to the position. Everett throws a couple of heel strikes.
Everett has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McChargue is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Everett. McChargue decides to stand back up. McChargue steps back and let's Everett get back to his feet. Nice uppercut lands for McChargue. That snapped Everett's head back.

McChargue is controlling Everett's trapped leg to prevent Everett from advancing to side control. McChargue is trying to get back to full guard. McChargue is doing well to control the position and prevent Everett from advancing to side control. McChargue is pressing down on Everett's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. McChargue not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McChargue has his feet on Everett's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. McChargue tries to clinch up. Everett scores with a takedown into McChargue's guard. Everett is breathing heavily. Everett trying to control but McChargue is working from the bottom.

McChargue decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Everett misses with a takedown and McChargue counters with a nice double leg into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Everett keeping busy on the bottom but McChargue has passed one foot through into half guard.

Everett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McChargue's guard. McChargue working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Everett. McChargue has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Everett off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Everett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Everett passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for McChargue! McChargue wants to hold on but Everett pushes him away. Everett can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McChargue is looking to escape. McChargue is working to get back to half guard.
McChargue should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. McChargue manages to regain half guard. Good work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McChargue is not content to let Everett control the position. McChargue moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corey McChargue dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
McChargue misses with a takedown attempt so Everett counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. McChargue controlling Everett's posture. McChargue manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Everett manages to get himself to full guard.
Everett is working an open guard so McChargue takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. McChargue with a poor takedown and Everett counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Everett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McChargue is keeping the position for now. Everett pushes down on McChargue's leg and manages to get into half guard. Still in half guard, Everett seems content to control. McChargue wants to control but Everett is keeping busy and won't allow it. Everett is looking for a kimura here.
Corey McChargue has got the better of the ground game so far. McChargue is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Everett's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Everett's back! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McChargue is trying to stick to Everett's back but Everett is turning into McChargue. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in McChargue's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Everett. Everett stopping the sweep attempt from McChargue. McChargue keeping moving, preventing Everett from controlling successfully. Everett scoring with some ground and pound. Everett is looking to work some ground and pound but McChargue has wrist control. Everett looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Everett works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Everett takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. McChargue lands with a kick to the temple.
