PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bankman Four (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes to the cage accompanied by Critical Acclaim-Avenged Sevenfold. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Wilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bankman Four! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Ackerman.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson has his takedown stuffed
so Four counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wilson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Four thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wilson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Four won't allow Wilson to get back to his feet. Four wants to stand but Wilson is controlling his posture from full guard. Four really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wilson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Four is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Four wanted to stand there but Wilson had control of the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson trying to control the position.
Wilson is looking to stand up but Four isn't so interested in that idea.
Wilson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Four showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Four loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Four trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom. Wilson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wilson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Four defends well. Four postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Four throwing strikes but missing. Four stays in close to Wilson's body and controls the position. Wilson wants to stand up but Four is controlling him. Four wants to get up but he can't break Wilson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson is looking to stand up but Four isn't so interested in that idea. Wilson is breathing heavily. Four wants to pass the guard but Wilson is keeping the position. Four must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Four decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wilson, up you get!
Four rushes Wilson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wilson tries to break the clinch but Four is controlling the position. Four prevents Wilson from breaking the clinch. Four just leaning against Wilson, taking a breather. Wilson wants to get back to striking at distance but Four won't allow it.
Wilson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Four smiles and moves away.
Four shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Four trying to control from half guard but Wilson is working away. Four controlling the action here. Four wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilson keeps working. Wilson is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bankman Four dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Four closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Four stands up from half guard. Lee Wilson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wilson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wilson misses with a takedown attempt
and Four counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wilson wants to control but Four is keeping busy.
Four stalling. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Four decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Four is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wilson's half guard. Wilson trying to control from the bottom.
Four content to control rather than advance. Wilson is looking to control Four's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilson avoid being mounted? Four wants to take a breather but Wilson is having none of it. Wilson wants to control but Four is keeping busy and won't allow it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Four shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wilson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Four prevents Wilson from getting the reversal. Four lands a nice shot to the head. Four takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wilson can't escape the position.
Four controlling the position easily from mount. Four trying to control but Wilson is having none of it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Four sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wilson defending well though. Wilson is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson is not content to let Four control the position. Wilson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wilson tries to get out of the position.
 The ref stands the fighters back up. Bankman Four was stalling too much, according to the referee. Four gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wilson counters with a one-two to the body.
Wilson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Four tries to roll over but Wilson keeps him under control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Four trying to control here.
Four looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Four is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Four is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wilson scores with a couple of nice shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bankman Four showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Four is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Wilson. Wilson shoots and misses
and Four counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wilson is trying to keep Four in close.
Four looking to pass the guard. Four tries to stand but Wilson is controlling from the bottom. Four trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Four is posturing up here but Wilson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Four tries to roll out but it's too tight and Four has to tap! Slick submission there by Wilson!
