Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Red Darglio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Labayen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramon Labayen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ramon Labayen!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Labayen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Red Darglio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Labayen throws a body punch but Darglio moves out of range.

Labayen shoots in and gets a takedown into Darglio's guard.
Labayen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Darglio looking for a sweep. Not yet Darglio, not yet.
Darglio is working hard here to advance position.
Darglio has Labayen pulled in close to control his posture.
Labayen trying to control the position from guard on top but Darglio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ramon Labayen.
The fighters circle momentarily. Darglio darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Labayen gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Darglio counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Darglio lands a nice leg kick that just misses Labayen's sensitive parts.

and Labayen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Labayen.

Darglio is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Labayen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Darglio is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Labayen is just riding it out for now. Darglio eventually gives up the hold.

Labayen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Darglio is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Darglio is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
