Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddie Figgjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figgjo has chosen Edward Grieg as his entrance music. Freddie Figgjo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Smiff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddie Figgjo! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Figgjo shoots in for a double leg but Smiff sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A jab from Figgjo misses. Smiff looks to land a combination but Figgjo avoids it well. A combination from Figgjo does no damage. Figgjo dodges the punch combination from Smiff.
Figgjo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smiff can pounce on him.
Figgjo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smiff's waist but Smiff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Figgjo off to one side. Figgjo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Smiff.
Smiff throws a quick inside leg kick. Figgjo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tony Smiff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddie Figgjo. Figgjo looks gassed! Smiff scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Smiff takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Figgjo throws a hook but Smiff blocks it. Figgjo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Smiff moves into the clinch successfully.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smiff tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Smiff is pressed up against the cage. Figgjo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Smiff down to the mat. Smiff avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Figgjo takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smiff. Smiff wants to clinch up but Figgjo keeps it at a distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Smiff looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Figgjo fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smiff throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Figgjo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Smiff closes the distance and clinches. Smiff manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Smiff finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Smiff buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Smiff counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Smiff, right into the meat.

and Smiff counters with a body kick that stops Figgjo in his tracks momentarily. Figgjo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Figgjo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smiff swivels though and keeps the full guard. Figgjo pushes down on Smiff's leg and manages to get into half guard. Figgjo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Figgjo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Smiff doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Figgjo. Smiff tries to kick Figgjo off but Figgjo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Figgjo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Figgjo is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Smiff has managed to free his arm - good work. Figgjo is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Smiff still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Smiff has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Smiff decides to stand back up. Smiff steps back and let's Figgjo get back to his feet. Smiff walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Figgjo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Figgjo scores with a nice head shot. Figgjo lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Smiff is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Figgjo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Smiff. Smiff obviously looking to wear him down.
Figgjo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Smiff. Smiff circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Figgjo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smiff throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Smiff drops Figgjo with a right and a left! Smiff comes rushing in but Figgjo regains his composure and manages to keep Smiff in guard.
It looks like Freddie Figgjo has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smiff decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Smiff throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Figgjo stumbling backwards into the cage! Figgjo bounces back off the cage towards Smiff, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Smiff lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Smiff celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tony Smiff!
