Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, G S! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Turtchin! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turtchin has his takedown stuffed and S counters with a straight right hand. Turtchin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. S quickly recovers to half guard. Turtchin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. S wants to control but Turtchin is keeping busy.
Turtchin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. S keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. S preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. S is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Turtchin to escape.

S wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turtchin keeps working. S throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Turtchin can't do much from the bottom here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. S working the strikes but Turtchin uses the opportunity to regain half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turtchin is breathing heavily. Turtchin moves into full guard.

Turtchin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Turtchin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. G S overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. S keeping moving, preventing Turtchin from controlling successfully. And that's the end of the fight! G S showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for S, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
