PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Dostoevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chopper Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dostoevsky kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rush- Tom Sawyer . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kirill Dostoevsky !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chopper Reid!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dostoevsky throws a nice looking combination but Reid bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Reid is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Reid connects with a crisp jab.
Reid tries to clinch up.
Dostoevsky shoots for a takedown but Reid saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Reid scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dostoevsky doesn't seem bothered though.

Reid uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dostoevsky .

Dostoevsky shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reid sprawls well. Reid wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dostoevsky gets slowly back to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kirill Dostoevsky .
