Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ze Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bo checks the leg kick nicely there.
Alves throws a low kick, looking for Bo's leg but Bo calmly moves out of range.
Alves throws a leg kick that is checked
and Bo counters with a stiff right hand.
Alves looks to land a body kick but Bo moved away.
No joy there for Bo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Thiago Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alves is in Bo's guard.
Alves trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bo's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alves stands and steps away. Bo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Alves backs up against the cage.
It looks like Thiago Alves has been cut.
Alves shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bo is trying to defend but Alves finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Alves stands up and beckons Bo to join him on the feet.
Bo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alves.
Bo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Bo lands a jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bo. Alves does a little dance to reset his feet.
Alves throws a nice outside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bo misses with a body shot.

Alves misses with a low kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Alves throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bo tries a head kick but it misses.
Alves throws a low kick but Bo moves out of range easily.
Bo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Bo throws the kick towards the body but Alves avoids it.
Alves does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That kick from Alves tenderised Bo's leg. Bo is trying to keep his angry face on.
Alves takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Alves shoots in and drives through. Bo sprawls well.
Bo misses with a body kick.
Alves throws a body kick that misses.
Alves avoids the body shot from Bo.
Alves throws a nice outside leg kick.
A solid body kick from Bo.
Alves is breathing heavily.
Nice sprawl there from Bo as Alves shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bo lands a right hook to the body.

Bo fakes the leg kick and cracks Alves in the body.
Alves takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Bo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Alves eats them both and turns towards Bo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Alves is rocked!
Alves drops his hands for a split second and Bo immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Alves face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Bo follows up with a right hand that knocks Alves into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ze Bo!
