Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bert Sugar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson Waters is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bert Sugar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilson Waters!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters scores with the left hand. Sugar knows he should have avoided that one.
Sugar throws out a loose jab but Waters uses good head movement to avoid it.
Waters has his takedown stuffed
and Sugar counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Waters thinking.

and Sugar counters with a series of strikes. Waters will be more careful next time no doubt.
Waters throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sugar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Waters closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sugar quickly recovers to half guard.

Sugar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Waters on the ground.

Waters drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sugar dives on top into guard.
Sugar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sugar wants to stand and escape but instead Waters has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sugar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sugar tries to get out of the position.
Sugar wants to get back to his feet but Waters passes into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Waters winds up and cracks Sugar with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Waters has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Waters lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Waters slips a nice elbow through Sugar's hands, connecting with Sugar's forehead.

Waters looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sugar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Waters stops Sugar from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Wilson Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sugar tries to avoid it but Waters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sugar to the ground. Sugar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bert Sugar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wilson Waters.
Waters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sugar swivels and escapes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sugar is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Waters asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Sugar parries the strikes from Waters easily there. Waters is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sugar to escape.

Waters creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sugar sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Waters misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sugar is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Sugar is bucking up trying to escape but Waters cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


Sugar is rocked!
Waters cracks Sugar with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wilson Waters!
