Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Eggson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chelvin Siores! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eggson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Eggson tries to land a body kick and Eggson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Eggson gets the takedown into side control. Siores struggling a bit here. Siores dodges the ground and pound from Eggson. Siores gets back to half guard. Siores has one foot on Eggson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. A head kick misses from Siores. Eggson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Siores avoids it really well and circles away. Eggson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Siores is fending him off so far but Eggson persists. Nope, Siores circles away and we're back to standing. Eggson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Siores to score an easy takedown into full guard. Siores wanted to stand there but Eggson had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eggson seems keen to control Siores's posture. Siores sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Eggson's guard. Siores content to control rather than advance. Eggson trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Eggson tries to roll over but Siores keeps him under control. Eggson trying to control here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
We're going to have a standup here because Carl Eggson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Eggson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Siores's calf. Siores tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Eggson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Eggson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Siores is trying to defend but Eggson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Siores is staying active underneath Eggson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Siores wants to control but Eggson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Siores is controlling Eggson's trapped leg to prevent Eggson from advancing to side control. Eggson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Siores flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Eggson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are battling for position here. Siores manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Eggson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Siores keeping moving, preventing Eggson from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Eggson stands up out of Siores's guard for a moment - Siores manages to land a nice upkick. Eggson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eggson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Eggson is breathing heavily. Eggson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siores swivels though and keeps the full guard. Siores striking off his back but it's not causing Eggson any problems. Siores is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Siores is on top in guard.
Siores postures up and lands a big shot to Eggson's brow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chelvin Siores will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Eggson shoots in looking for a takedown but Siores manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eggson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Eggson stuffs the takedown. Siores gets the takedown into side control. Eggson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Siores's best efforts. Siores frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Eggson wants to hold on but Siores pushes him away. Siores with the ground and pound from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Siores lands with some strikes. Siores avoids the attempt from Eggson to control. Eggson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Siores lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Siores controlling from the full mount. Siores lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Eggson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Eggson is squirming around, avoiding Siores's attempts to control the action. Siores is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Siores lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Eggson squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Siores dominating with strikes here. A nice elbow there by Siores. Siores scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Eggson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Siores is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Eggson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Siores escapes and gets back to his feet. Eggson shoots in looking for a takedown. Siores tries to sprawl out of it but Eggson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Siores manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carl Eggson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Siores connects with a high kick. Eggson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Eggson closes the distance looking to clinch and Siores counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chelvin Siores showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Siores closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Eggson is trying to get back to full guard. Siores stands up and beckons Eggson to join him on the feet. Siores gets a clinch. Eggson has Siores pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Eggson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Siores tumbling to the mat - Eggson dives into Siores's guard. Eggson sitting in guard here, content to control. Nice takedown defense from Eggson. No joy for Siores on that attempt. Eggson with a poor takedown and Siores counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Eggson looking to control.
Siores cracks Eggson with a solid left hand. Siores working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Chelvin Siores has got the better of the ground game so far. Eggson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Siores stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Siores wants it to stay on the feet. Siores fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Eggson. Siores misses with a shot to the body and Eggson counters with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Siores pushes Eggson up against the cage in a clinch. Eggson pulls guard effortlessly. Siores thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Siores gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Siores lands a nice hook to Eggson's body. Eggson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Siores with a poor takedown and Eggson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Eggson. Eggson is trying to break the clinch but Siores is controlling him. Siores drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Carl Eggson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chelvin Siores. Eggson displaying some good clinch control by pressing Siores up against the cage. Eggson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Siores just stands there and leans against the cage.

Eggson is fighting to break Siores's control of his arms but Siores is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Eggson tries to free his leg and advance position but Siores is retaining full guard. Siores working a defensive guard here.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Chelvin Siores hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Eggson lands a high kick!
Eggson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Siores but Siores pushes him off and we're back to square one. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Siores tries to clinch up but Eggson circles away and keeps his distance. Carl Eggson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chelvin Siores is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Eggson misses with a takedown attempt and Siores counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Eggson!
And that's the end of the fight! Chelvin Siores comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Siores has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
