Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geter Done (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Joe Blythe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Done tries to clinch but Blythe is having none of it.
Blythe lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Geter Done has been cut.

Done shoots in looking for a takedown. Blythe tries to sprawl out of it but Done keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blythe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Blythe tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Done is fighting to break Blythe's control of his arms but Blythe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Done postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Done throws a big right hand that misses.

Done has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Blythe has his feet on Done's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Blythe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Done tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Done wants to get back to striking at distance but Blythe won't allow it.

Blythe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Done looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A frustrated look appears on Done's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Blythe lands an elbow that stopped Done in his tracks for a moment.

Blythe gets control of Done's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blythe will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Done takes an elbow to the forehead.

Blythe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Done seems to have got his legs back now.
Blythe lands a big knee! That's hurt Done! Oh, he's all over the place! Blythe lands another knee that sends Done to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Joe Blythe!
