Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between scott Jorgensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cayden Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, scott Jorgensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cayden Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorgensen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jorgensen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jorgensen wants to get back to his feet.
Jorgensen is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jorgensen tries to kick Johnson off but Johnson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jorgensen wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.
Jorgensen looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jorgensen wants to stand back up but Johnson manages to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson prevents Jorgensen from escaping the position.
Johnson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Jorgensen is looking for a sweep.
Johnson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jorgensen's shoulder. That is not cool.
Jorgensen stops Johnson from passing to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jorgensen tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Jorgensen controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Jorgensen wants to control his opponent's hands but Johnson gets his hands free.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jorgensen throws a combination that misses

and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.

Jorgensen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A frustrated look appears on Jorgensen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Johnson has Jorgensen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jorgensen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cayden Johnson wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jorgensen's guard.

Jorgensen is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.

and Johnson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jorgensen!

Cayden Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jorgensen's guard now.
Jorgensen is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.

Johnson stops Jorgensen from standing up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Jorgensen keeps moving.

Jorgensen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.
Johnson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Cayden Johnson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Johnson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jorgensen.
Jorgensen fails to pull guard.
Jorgensen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Johnson prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for scott Jorgensen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jorgensen fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jorgensen's guard now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We're going to have a standup here because scott Jorgensen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jorgensen, pushing him back against the cage.
scott Jorgensen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jorgensen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jorgensen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson walks away with a smile on his face. Jorgensen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Johnson has managed to clinch.
Jorgensen is trying to maintain a safe position but Johnson gets an underhook and turns Jorgensen into the cage.
Johnson wants a takedown.

Jorgensen pulls guard.

Jorgensen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cayden Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
