Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Super Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dude comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Fighter is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: RENEGADE MASTER. Steve Fighter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Super Dude! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Fighter! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dude lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fighter has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fighter and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Fighter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Dude shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fighter pulls Dude in close to prevent any damage. Fighter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dude stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fighter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dude postures up.
Dude has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Fighter keeping moving, preventing Dude from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A head kick by Fighter misses and Dude connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Steve Fighter has been cut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Fighter. Fighter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dude circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fighter landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Dude is trying to get back to full guard. Dude misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Dude has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fighter is working away from the top position though. Fighter controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dude wants to control but Fighter is keeping busy.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fighter feints and then cracks Dude's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dude down. Dude looks to land a left hand but Fighter moved out of range nicely. Dude misses with an uppercut
and Fighter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Dude tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Fighter with a body punch. A glancing blow. Fighter throws a nice outside leg kick. Dude leaves Fighter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Super Dude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Fighter. Fighter wants to slow Dude down by chopping away at his legs. Dude takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fighter throws a body punch but Dude moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter doesn't manage to clinch there - Dude circles away.
Dude throws a body punch but Fighter moves out of range. Fighter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dude looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Fighter doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Dude counter with a right hand. Fighter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fighter lands in his opponent's guard. Fighter stays in close to Dude's body and controls the position. Fighter trying to control the position from guard on top but Dude is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dude trying to keep a closed guard but Fighter is proving a slippery customer.
Dude wants to sweep here but Fighter controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter trying to control but Dude is working from the bottom. Dude keeping full guard, as Fighter tries to pass.
Steve Fighter has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Dude fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fighter sprawls well initially but Dude persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dude throwing shots but Fighter is blocking nicely. Dude controlling the action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dude wants to take a breather but Fighter is having none of it. Dude is taking a breather. Fighter says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Super Dude will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Steve Fighter's cut. That's time! Dude's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dude attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Dude swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Dude tried to score with a low kick but Fighter checks it. Fighter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dude. Fighter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fighter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Dude knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fighter on the ground. Fighter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dude knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. You can see the frustration on Dude's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dude is trying to get back to half guard. Dude is not content to let Fighter control the position. Fighter might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dude kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Dude tries to buck Fighter off but Fighter is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dude is letting Fighter control him for a moment. Fighter working the ground and pound but Dude is defending the strikes. Fighter is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Fighter is looking to take a break and control but Dude is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Nice sprawl there from Dude as Fighter shoots in. Fighter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A shot to the liver by Fighter. Beautiful body shot. Fighter tries for a takedown but Dude circles away easily and Dude connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Fighter connects with a solid leg kick. Fighter tries to clinch but Dude is having none of it. Fighter closes the distance and clinches up with Dude, looking for a takedown. Fighter pushes Dude against the cage but Dude circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Super Dude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Fighter. Dude thows a body shot but no joy. Dude throws a jab when Fighter was well out of range. Fighter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dude to the mat! Dude manages to get full guard. Fighter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dude can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dude, who protects the arm well. Fighter in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Dude tries to improve position but can't. Fighter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dude knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Fighter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dude keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Fighter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Steve Fighter's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dude enables Fighter to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dude manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fighter wants to pass the guard but Dude is keeping the position. Dude is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Fighter trying to control the position from guard on top but Dude is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fighter stopping the sweep attempt from Dude. Fighter postures up.

Fighter shoots and misses and Dude decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fighter's guard. Fighter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dude trying to control but Fighter is working from the bottom. Fighter looking to control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dude keeping moving, preventing Fighter from controlling successfully. Fighter advances to half guard. Fighter is taking a breather. Dude says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Steve Fighter has got the better of the ground game so far. Dude keeps control of the position for the meantime.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Super Dude. I think Dude has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
