PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mister Spock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutas Beefcake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spock comes to the cage accompanied by 2000 Light Years. Beefcake comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The BeefCake kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beefcake throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Spock tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Beefcake is in Spock's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beefcake trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Beefcake throws and elbow that misses. Spock uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Beefcake's guard. Nice move by Spock!

Spock is fighting off a takedown attempt but Beefcake is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Spock to the mat. Spock regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Spock takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Spock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beefcake on the ground.
Spock has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Spock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
