The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Pitbull staying out of range there.

The Pitbull drives through with a takedown into Hellwig's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Hellwig preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hellwig manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Pitbull manages to get himself to full guard.
Hellwig prevents The Pitbull from getting back to his feet.
Hellwig throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Pitbull works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The Pitbull is trying to keep Hellwig in close.
The Pitbull is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Pitbull is on top in guard.
The Pitbull won't allow Hellwig to get back to his feet.

and Hellwig counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Hellwig rushes The Pitbull and presses him up against the cage.

Hellwig turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hellwig manages to end up in side control.

Hellwig goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, The Pitbull has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hellwig but great work by The Pitbull.

The Pitbull decides to stand back up. The Pitbull steps back and let's Hellwig get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hellwig scores a takedown into full mount!
The Pitbull tries to lock up and control but Hellwig gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The Pitbull is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hellwig is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hellwig prevents The Pitbull from getting the reversal.
The Pitbull bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Hellwig is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
