The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez misses with a takedown attempt
and Yashin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Velasquez wants to stand up but Yashin is controlling the position.

Velasquez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Velasquez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yashin can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alex Yashin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
