The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duffy instigates a clinch.
Mifune goes for a takedown attempt but Duffy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Duffy feints and as Mifune raises his hands in defense, Duffy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Duffy advances to half guard.

Mifune is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Duffy pulls his head out easily.

Mifune is desperately trying to improve his position but Duffy has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Duffy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
