Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Strikes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armstrong's entrance music is System of a Down - BYOB. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong clinches.
Strikes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Strikes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Strikes misses with a few strikes there.
Armstrong throws a head kick that misses
and Strikes counters by moving into the clinch.
Strikes misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Armstrong.
Armstrong wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Strikes manages to break the clinch.
Armstrong throws a sloppy head kick
and Strikes counters with a one-two to the body.
Strikes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Strikes scores with a head kick. Armstrong tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Armstrong scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Armstrong.
Armstrong throws a head kick that misses
and Strikes counters with a nice right hand that sends Armstrong toppling to the canvas! Armstrong scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Strikes finish him?!
Armstrong is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Armstrong drops his hands momentarily and Strikes needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Armstrong just on the top of the head. Armstrong drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Armstrong - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Carlos Strikes!
