Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miko Maciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter Byrd is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Byrd enables Maciano to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Byrd manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Maciano working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Maciano stays in close to Byrd's body and controls the position.

Maciano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Byrd has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maciano has managed to get both his arms back between Byrd's legs - danger averted.

Maciano cracks Byrd with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Maciano is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Byrd to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Byrd shrugs it off.

Maciano is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Byrd is forced to tap! Great finish!
