1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergei Borisov! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Borisov striking off his back but it's not causing Liddell any problems. Borisov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Borisov not landing any meaningful shots this time. Liddell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liddell tries to get out of the position. Liddell is staying active underneath Borisov, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Borisov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Liddell won't allow Borisov to pass to mount. Liddell avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Borisov. Borisov is trying to work for a kimura but Liddell is defending well.
Borisov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Borisov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Liddell defends it well.

Borisov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Liddell is refusing to be controlled, as Borisov sits in half guard. Borisov stands up and beckons Liddell to join him on the feet. Liddell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Borisov, pushing him back against the ropes.

Liddell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Borisov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Borisov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Liddell off and has taken his back! Borisov working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Liddell rolls, trying to escape but Borisov keeps control of the position.

Borisov is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Liddell defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Liddell covering up well under a series of strikes from Borisov. Liddell is trying to break free.

Chuck Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Borisov's half guard. Borisov works his way to full guard. Good work. Liddell wants to control from the top but Borisov keeps moving. Borisov pushes a forearm under Liddell's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Liddell is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
