Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daemon Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davies's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, am i demon. Giant comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eye of the Tiger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Da Giant told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant fails with a takedown attempt.
Davies connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Giant showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davies.
Davies throws a right and a left that Giant avoids nicely.
Davies pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Giant takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Giant uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Davies.
Davies leaves Giant with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Daemon Davies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Davies drops Giant with a left and a right! Oh, Giant is hurt - Davies dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Da Giant has been cut.
Davies stands up and beckons Giant to his feet.

Davies throws a head kick but Giant moves out of range.

Davies paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
No luck for Giant with that takedown attempt.

Giant has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Davies misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A left and a right from Davies both land. Nice combination.
Davies throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Giant throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davies's waist but Davies gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Giant off to one side.

Giant prevents Davies from standing back up.
Davies is staying active underneath Giant, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Davies looks like he's trying to stand up.

Davies knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Giant on the ground.

Giant takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Giant shoots in looking for a takedown. Davies tries to sprawl out of it but Giant keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davies manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd cheers as Davies lands an impressive looking overhand right. Giant doesn't seem phased though.
Davies lands a nice hook to Giant's body. Giant takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Davies sizes up Giant with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Giant slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Davies bucks up and tries to throw Giant off but instead Giant has got his back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Davies is keeping busy.

Davies might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Giant has got one arm under Davies's chin. This could be trouble... Davies trying to control the other hand but Giant gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Davies has tapped out! The fight is over!
