Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erik Rizal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Guido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guido has chosen Strictly Business as his entrance music. Ray Guido is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erik Rizal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Guido! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guido tries to clinch but Rizal is having none of it. Rizal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Guido is looking to clinch but Rizal is avoiding it.
Rizal throws a head kick that misses. Rizal fails with the takedown. Guido tries to clinch up. Rizal scores with a takedown into Guido's guard. Rizal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guido is proving hard to escape from. Guido wants to sweep here but Rizal controlling him for the moment. Guido striking off his back but it's not causing Rizal any problems. Guido throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rizal wants to get up but he can't break Guido's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Guido trying to strike off his back.
Guido looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rizal fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Guido gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rizal is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guido is looking to sweep but instead, Rizal has passed into half guard.
Guido is trying to get back to full guard. Guido pushes Rizal off but Rizal dives into side control.
Rizal throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Rizal working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Guido is trying to get back to half guard. Guido manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Guido pushes Rizal off and gets back to his feet. Guido darts in and clinches Rizal up against the cage. Guido lands a nice uppercut. Guido has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rizal is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The is referee keeping an eye on Rizal - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Rizal prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rizal prevents Guido from breaking the clinch. Guido breaks the clinch.
Guido wants to clinch. Guido gets a clinch. Guido wants to break free but Rizal has control.
Guido has hold of one of Rizal's legs. Rizal is fighting the takedown attempt but Guido gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Rizal has his foot on Guido's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Guido works his way back into a safe position though. Rizal doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Rizal managing to control the position. Guido wants to pass the guard but Rizal is keeping the position. Rizal wants to get back to his feet but Guido is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guido being controlled here momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Guido doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Guido manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Guido with a flurry of punches that miss. Rizal is trying to keep Guido in close.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Guido accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Guido trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Guido stands up from Rizal's guard - Guido perhaps looking for a knockout. Guido moves into the clinch successfully.

A nice right hand lands inside from Guido. Rizal is trying to stall.
Guido throws a head punch that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Guido. Rizal is working for takedown but Guido is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Rizal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rizal misses with an elbow strike.
Guido breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rizal avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Guido misses with a straight left. Guido forces Rizal back against the cage and clinches. Guido misses with a hook from the clinch. Rizal manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Guido stops Rizal from standing up. Guido with a flurry of punches that miss. Guido gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Rizal has closed the distance and engaged Guido in a clinch.
Guido gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rizal tries to kick Guido off but Guido keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Guido throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rizal makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rizal. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rizal is pulling down on Guido's head. It's preventing any offense from Guido, at least for the moment. Guido loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ray Guido will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rizal pushes Guido up against the cage in a clinch. Rizal breaks the clinch.
Rizal scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rizal working the body and head with strikes. Guido is looking to regain half guard here but Rizal keeps moving and retains side control. Rizal decides to stand back up. Rizal fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rizal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rizal shoots in looking for a takedown. Guido tries to sprawl out of it but Rizal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guido manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Guido tries to clinch up and Rizal counters with a head kick. Rizal tries for a takedown but Guido sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Rizal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rizal circles away from the clinch attempt and Rizal moves into the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Guido. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A nice right hand lands inside from Guido. Rizal is trying to break the clinch but Guido has him pressed against the cage. Rizal missing with knees to the body.
Rizal prevents Guido from breaking the clinch. Rizal gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Guido.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guido goes for a takedown attempt but Rizal pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Guido tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rizal counters by clinching up. with the fighters clinched against the cage, Guido creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Rizal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Guido gets back to half guard. Erik Rizal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rizal is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Guido is looking for a sweep. Rizal is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Rizal seems content to control. Rizal is nestled in close to Guido, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Rizal is taking a breather. Guido says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Rizal decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rizal fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Guido darts in trying to clinch and Rizal counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Guido scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Rizal circles away from the clinch attempt and Rizal counters with a right hand to the body. Guido throws a combination that misses and Rizal counters with a nice double leg into side control. Guido won't be happy with that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Guido tries to buck Rizal off but Rizal is having none of it. Rizal is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Guido is trying to escape and Rizal transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Guido is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rizal! Very nice indeed!
