Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Couture! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eric Chang! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Couture manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Couture looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Couture tries to get to full guard but Chang has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Couture looking for submissions off his back. Chang content to control rather than advance. Couture has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Chang escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Chang! Chang stands up and we're back to a striking position. Couture really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chang throws a jab when Couture was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Couture shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chang counters with a single leg into guard. Couture didn't expect that. Chang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Couture. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Couture tries to land a sweep but no joy. Couture working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Chang is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Chang trying to stand up but can't free himself from Couture's guard. Couture working for submissions but it's allowed Chang to get to half guard.
Couture looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Chang works his way into full mount! Couture keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Couture is in all sorts of trouble here.
Chang manages to capitalize on a mistake by Couture to take his back! You can see the frustration on Couture's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Chang has good solid back control here. Couture tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Chang working the ground and pound effectively.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Couture is wriggling around trying to escape.
Couture slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Couture is looking for a sweep. Chang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Couture is pressing down on Chang's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Chang must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Chang looks gassed! Chang stays in close to Couture's body and controls the position. Couture is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Couture is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Chang rolls with it to try and escape but Couture cranks on the arm and Chang is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
