Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay Bond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Rogan! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bond is looking to clinch. Bond shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bond controlling from mount. Bond has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rogan tries to hold on but Bond pushes him away. Bond controlling the position easily from mount. Rogan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bond controlling the pace for now. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogan is trying to escape the mount.
Bond putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Bond controlling from the full mount. Bond's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Rogan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bond takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Bond wasn't doing enough on the ground. Bond drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rogan is trying to control Bond's posture but Bond avoids it. Rogan manages to get back to half guard. Bond missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bond is thwarting Rogan's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bond trying to mount his opponent but Rogan defends it. Bond controlling the action here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Bond works his way into side control. Rogan tries to buck Bond off but Bond is having none of it. Bond taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Rogan is trying to control but can't.
Rogan regains full guard. Nicely done. Rogan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bond preventing the sweep. Rogan looking for a triangle here. Bond is fighting it but it looks tight! Rogan pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Bond is tapping out - this one is all over!
