Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Martinez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Puya -- Sal Pa' Fuera. Slaughter has chosen The Crown - World Below as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slaughter blocks a low kick nicely.

Martinez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Martinez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Martinez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Slaughter!
