Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Baginski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgar has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Piotr Baginski had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piotr Baginski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frankie Edgar!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar has his takedown stuffed
and Edgar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Edgar looks gassed!
Edgar takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Baginski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Edgar swivels and escapes.
Baginski works over Edgar's head and body with a nice combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Baginski closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Baginski gets control of Edgar's arms and successfully pulls guard. Baginski will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Baginski scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Edgar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Baginski drives through with a takedown into guard.
Baginski wants to control from the top but Edgar keeps moving.
Edgar preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Edgar can't keep his opponent in guard - Baginski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Baginski wants to work for an arm triangle but Edgar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Baginski not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Baginski seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Edgar keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Baginski thows a huge punch but Edgar dodges it nicely.

Baginski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Edgar's head.
Baginski wants to control but Edgar is keeping him busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Edgar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Baginski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Edgar defends it well.

Baginski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Edgar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Baginski.

Edgar is trying to control but Baginski passes into side control!
Edgar is trying to control Baginski's posture but Baginski avoids it.
Baginski tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Baginski is looking to take a break and control but Edgar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Edgar gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Edgar has left one of his arms exposed and Baginski doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Edgar screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
