Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyron Woodlley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Core (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Core has chosen Emicida - Triunfo as his entrance music. Tyron Woodlley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyron Woodlley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruno Core! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Core fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Core looks to land a combination. Woodlley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Tyron Woodlley has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Woodlley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Core manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Core has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woodlley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Woodlley wants to control from the top but Core keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Core working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Woodlley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Woodlley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Core is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woodlley is controlling him. Core kicks Woodlley off and gets to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woodlley looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Core! Woodlley goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Core turns into him and now he's in Woodlley's guard.
Woodlley is breathing heavily. Core tries to stand but Woodlley is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Core preventing the sweep. Core throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Core tries to stand but Woodlley is controlling from the bottom. Core throws a big right hand that misses. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Core wanted to stand there but Woodlley had control of the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tyron Woodlley wasn't doing enough on the ground. Woodlley dodges the punch combination from Core.
Core wants to clinch and Woodlley counters with a nice double leg into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruno Core dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tyron Woodlley's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Core tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Woodlley counters with a takedown into side control. Core can't do much from the bottom here. Core is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Woodlley swings around for an armbar but Core sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Woodlley's guard. Core wants to stand but Woodlley is controlling his posture from full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Tyron Woodlley just wasn't active enough. Core is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Core tries to clinch up. Core looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Woodlley is fending him off so far but Core persists. Nope, Woodlley circles away and we're back to standing. Core looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A jab-cross combination lands for Core and sends Woodlley crashing to the mat! Core follows him down to the mat - Woodlley regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Core seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Core is trying to control the action in half guard but Woodlley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Woodlley is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Core scores with a couple of nice shots. Core seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Core working over Woodlley with some ground and pound. Woodlley looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Woodlley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ground and pound from Core.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Core missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Core tries to stand and escape but Woodlley is controlling the position. Woodlley wants to get back to full guard but Core has passed into side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Core landing strikes from the mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruno Core showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Tyron Woodlley's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Woodlley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Core. Woodlley with a lazy takedown attempt and Core counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Woodlley tries for a takedown but Core manages to get underhooks.
Core tries to land knees in the clinch but Woodlley avoids the damage to the body. Core working hard to break the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Woodlley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyron Woodlley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woodlley managing to block the knees to the body from Core.
Core looking to throw knees to the head but Woodlley is blocking nicely.
Core has Woodlley pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Woodlley manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Core jumps guard and drags Woodlley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Core is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Core looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Core is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Woodlley trying to control the position from guard on top but Core is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Core has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Woodlley doesn't defend quickly enough and Core has managed to lock this one up! Can Woodlley escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Core on a fantastic submission victory.
