Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willamy Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Jonness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Joe Jonness enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Willamy Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Jonness! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva misses with a takedown attempt and Jonness connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Silva misses with a takedown and Jonness cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jonness misses with a takedown attempt and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva. Silva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Silva with a lazy takedown attempt and Jonness counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willamy Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. This has been an exciting period of action! Jonness prevents Silva from getting the reversal. Silva tries to control Jonness's body but Jonness pushes him off. Silva squirms to his side and now Jonness has his back! Silva trying to control the hands but Jonness won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva tries to escape the position.
Jonness wants to control but Silva is keeping busy. Jonness has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Silva's body.
Silva just trying to survive but Jonness is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jonness punches the canvas rather than the man. Silva tries to escape but Jonness has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Silva tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Jonness can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape. Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to hold on but Jonness pushes him away. Jonness trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jonness looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Silva tries to hold on but Jonness postures up. Jonness wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely. Jonness avoids the attempt from Silva to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Jonness dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Jonness trying to control here.
Jonness is not content to let Silva control the position. Silva passes into side control, despite Jonness's attempt to control the position.
Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Jonness get back to his feet. Jonness is breathing heavily. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jonness counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva pulls Jonness in close to prevent any damage. Silva is looking for a triangle but Jonness pushes his legs off easily.
Jonness wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Silva has Jonness pulled in close to control his posture. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Willamy Silva just wasn't active enough. Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Silva throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Willamy Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva decides to return to a standing position. Silva tries for a takedown but Jonness circles away easily and Jonness counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jonness. Jonness breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Silva with a poor takedown and Jonness counters with a nice low kick that buckles Silva's knee momentarily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willamy Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva with a poor takedown and Jonness counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that. Jonness stands up and beckons Silva to his feet. Silva tries for a takedown but Jonness circles away easily and Jonness moves into the clinch. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jonness avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jonness breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jonness clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage. Silva tries for a takedown. No joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jonness wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Jonness persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jonness wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position. Silva working a defensive guard here.
Jonness won't allow Silva to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Jonness showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Jonness tries to clinch up and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Silva content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silva prevents Jonness from standing back up.
Jonness really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jonness takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Silva landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jonness defends it well. Silva postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jonness to stand up. Silva gets tackled into the cage by Jonness. Jonness maintains the clinch. Silva tightens his grip and picks Jonness up, before dumping him to the ground. Jonness manages to land in guard. Silva controls from within his opponent's guard. Jonness is looking to stand up but Silva isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Jonness is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jonness defends it nicely. Jonness lands a high kick!
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Jonness shows good takedown defense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jonness fails with the takedown and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Silva works his way into side control. Jonness tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Silva stands up and we're back to a striking position. Silva closes the distance looking to clinch and Jonness counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jonness tries to get to his feet but Silva is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Jonness in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva punching to the body, from the bottom. Silva wants to sweep but no luck. Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jonness manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jonness is working an open guard so Silva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Willamy Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Joe Jonness is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Silva throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Jonness counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jonness.
And that's the end of the fight! Willamy Silva showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jonness has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
