The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Evans.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Evans as he jumps to the side.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Silva is looking for a kimura here.
Silva is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Evans is defending well.
Silva frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Evans is breathing heavily.
Silva is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Evans is surviving well by controlling Silva's body position as best he can.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva has control of Evans's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Evans regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Silva looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva works his way to his opponent's back.
Silva is cranking Evans's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Evans! He's tightened the choke and Evans is tapping out!
