Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chance Dakota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chance Dakota!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Willie Connor!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Chance Dakota has been cut.
Dakota fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Connor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dakota throws a strike but Connor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Dakota is trying to keep Connor in close.
Dakota is looking to sweep but instead, Connor has passed into half guard.
Connor tries to stand and escape but Dakota is controlling the position.
Dakota scores with a few weak punches.

Dakota is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Connor tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Connor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Dakota moves out of range as Connor throws a body kick.
Dakota circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dakota shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Connor but Connor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dakota shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Connor pinned against the cage. Connor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Connor rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dakota moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dakota is looking to take a break and control but Connor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dakota drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Connor prevents Dakota from improving position.
Dakota wants to lay and pray for a moment but Connor keeps working.
Connor defending against the ground and pound.
Dakota creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connor takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Connor is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Dakota is putting a hurting on Connor here, landing some big shots from side control.
Dakota is trying to ground and pound but Connor uses the momentary lack of control by Dakota to regain half guard.

Dakota is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dakota is trying to control the action in half guard but Connor is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dakota not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Connor is not content to let Dakota control the position.
Dakota stalling away here and it's allowed Connor to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Dakota throws a strike but Connor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Connor wants to stand up but Dakota has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Connor trying to control but Dakota is having none of it.

Connor is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Dakota closes the distance and clinches up with Connor, looking for a takedown. Dakota pushes Connor against the cage but Connor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Connor misses with a short punch on the inside.
Dakota goes for a takedown attempt but Connor pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dakota dodges the punch combination from Connor.

Dakota looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Connor works on Dakota's body with a couple of short punches.
Connor misses with a punch on the inside.
Connor prevents a takedown attempt there.

Dakota escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dakota misses with a takedown attempt - Connor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chance Dakota. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chance Dakota is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Connor connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dakota. Dakota circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Dakota is rocked!
Dakota walks straight into a right hand from Connor - that's dropped him! Connor jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Dakota from any more punishment! Dakota complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Willie Connor!
