Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Esperanza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dino Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams has chosen Rush - Limelight as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Esperanza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dino Adams!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams gets the takedown into side control.
Adams misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Esperanza is not content to let Adams control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Esperanza, who protects the arm well.

Adams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Esperanza got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Esperanza has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted.

Esperanza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Adams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Esperanza will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Esperanza throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Adams was covering up waiting for the punch and Esperanza finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
