Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baby J Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Boon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Baby J Penn! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boon scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Penn looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Penn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Baby J Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Boon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Penn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boon.
Penn walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Boon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Boon drives through with a takedown into guard. Boon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Penn is working an open guard so Boon takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Boon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Boon cracks Penn with a big right hand but Penn just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Penn dodges the ground and pound from Boon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boon stands up and we're back to a striking position. Boon misses with a series of wild punches.
Boon throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Boon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Boon sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Penn defending well though. Boon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Boon thows a huge punch but Penn dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Boon thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Penn to regain full guard. Boon trying to control the position from guard on top but Penn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Boon stands and steps away. Penn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Penn tries to move into range but Boon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Boon throws a quick inside leg kick. Sloppy strikes from Boon. Those never looked like landing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Penn leaves Boon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boon tests Penn's chin there with a solid looking shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Boon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Boon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Penn was covering up waiting for the punch and Boon finishes the takedown easily into guard. Boon trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom. Boon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Penn is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boon gets to his feet. Penn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Boon scores with a takedown into Penn's guard. Boon works over Penn with some ground and pound from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boon stands and steps away. Penn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Boon has managed to clinch.
Boon has clasped his hands together around Penn's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Boon stands up and beckons Penn to his feet. Boon throws a leg kick which misses Penn's front leg but catches the back leg as Penn tries to avoid it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Boon looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boon stands up from Penn's guard - Boon perhaps looking for a knockout. Boon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boon showed some decent athleticism there. Boon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Penn can do to turn this around? Boon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boon tries to bum rush Penn with a series of wild strikes but Penn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Penn tries to clinch but Boon moves away and Boon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Boon connects with a couple of short punches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boon stands up from Penn's guard - Boon perhaps looking for a knockout. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Boon dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Penn tries to clinch up and Boon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Boon throws a hook to the side of Penn's head but Penn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Boon swings for the body but Penn moves out of range.
Boon fails to land the takedown. Penn closes the distance but Boon moves to the side and Boon counters with a takedown into side control. Penn on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boon decides to stand back up. Boon steps back and let's Penn get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boon lands a high kick!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Boon scores with a takedown into Penn's guard. Boon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Boon stands up from guard. Let's bang! Boon throws a lazy uppercut
and Penn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Boon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Boon misses with a wild combination.
Penn closes the distance looking to clinch and Boon counters with a leg kick. Boon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Penn has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Penn closes the distance but Boon moves to the side and Boon counters by clinching up. Boon lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Penn. Boon breaks from the clinch.
Boon lands with a hook. Penn tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Penn walks into a left hand. A momentary lapse in concentration from Penn enables Boon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Penn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Boon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Boon gets in close and instigates a clinch. Penn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boon smiles and moves away.
A head kick misses from Boon. Penn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boon circles away quickly and effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Penn slips a jab and a cross from Boon.
Boon scores with a takedown into Penn's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Penn controls Boon momentarily but Boon frees himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Penn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Boon showed his dominance in that final round. Well Boon has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
