Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marco Brickowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Cozad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marco Brickowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor Cozad! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brickowski throws a leg kick and Cozad connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Brickowski lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Cozad throws a big shot that misses. Cozad just misses with a punch to the body.
Brickowski lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cozad's sensitive parts. Cozad on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Cozad shoots in and gets a takedown into Brickowski's guard. Brickowski keeping moving, preventing Cozad from controlling successfully. Cozad looking to pass the guard. Brickowski is trying to keep Cozad in close.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Brickowski misses with a low kick. Marco Brickowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brickowski connects with an inside leg kick. Cozad missing with a left hand there. Cozad trying to control the action but Brickowski is working from the bottom. Cozad passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Brickowski! Cozad wants to control the pace but Brickowski is squirming around nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brickowski gets back to half guard. Brickowski trying to hold on to Cozad's head to control him but Cozad postures up.

That was a close round but I would say that Marco Brickowski will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Marco Brickowski's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Brickowski feints and then cracks Cozad's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cozad down. Cozad lands a nice shot to the body.

He's obviously looking to slow Cozad down. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brickowski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cozad.
Brickowski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cozad. Brickowski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cozad manages to avoid it. Brickowski pulls out of a head kick attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brickowski is riding his opponent, not letting Cozad buck him off. Brickowski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cozad on the ground. Cozad tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brickowski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cozad has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cozad and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Cozad misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brickowski.

Cozad has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cozad there as he acknowledges the shot. Crunch! Brickowski slams his shin into Cozad's torso. Brickowski lands with a kick to the temple. Cozad shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Brickowski avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Brickowski chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Brickowski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Marco Brickowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Cozad. Brickowski throws a head kick that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brickowski scores with a hook to the body. Cozad takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Brickowski throws a lazy head kick and Cozad counters with a takedown into side control. Brickowski tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Marco Brickowski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brickowski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
